Macromedia Fireworks 3 Basic Skills 2

Course Description
This course will prepare students to use many additional features of Macromedia Fireworks 3. Students will create image slices, image rollovers and learn how to create image effects. Students will also learn about the web graphics workflow in Fireworks, how to create animations, and how to use symbols and instances. Prerequisites: Successful completion of Macromedia Fireworks 3 Basic Skills 1. (Text is included with the course fee)

Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
· Describe the various features and techniques that Fireworks uses to create Web graphics
· Create sliced images that are assembled in a Web page that presents useful information to users more quickly
· Create a reusable library of links, use enhanced fine and replace, and perform batch processing of image files
· Develop simple and disjointed JavaScript image rollovers
· Use Fireworks image effects to create masking and styles
· Create and export animated GIFs, use onion skinning techniques and open multiple files with one procedure
· Implement symbols and instances as a method of conserving development time
