Web Production: Integrating Flash, Dreamweaver and Photoshop

Course Description

This course demonstartes concepts and techniques for creating web sites using Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe Photoshop. You will learn how to integrate these three industry standard applications and will learn how to use each approprIately. You will develop a customizable online resume complete with gallery and core pages. Prerequisite: Completion of Macromedia Flash Basic Skills 1 & 2, Macromedia Dreamweaver Basic Skills 1 & 2 and Adobe Photoshop Web Production course, or equivalent knowledge.

Performanced-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Understand the strong and weak points of Flash, Dreamweaver and Photoshop and how to use each appropriatly.

Develop audience specific web site with emphasis on degradability and cross browser support.

Develop workflow techniques to use each program efficiently and avoid common pitfalls.

Plan a site and organize production of work effeciantly across all three applications.

Create a 3rd generation web site with a splash page that guides users to either standard HTML page or enhanced pages, into the core pages and to an exit portal.

Generate a gallery using a variety of techniques.

Develop an online resume to enhance employability
